My Top Five Zurich - Daniele Gasparri
Zurich, the largest city in Switzerland, is full of charm, history, and stunning landscapes. As a travel enthusiast, I have visited numerous cities around the world, but Zurich holds a special place in my heart. In this article, I will share with you my top five favorite places in Zurich curated by me, Daniele Gasparri, based on my personal experiences.
1. Old Town (Altstadt)
The Old Town of Zurich is a magical place that takes you back in time. With its narrow cobblestone streets, medieval buildings, and charming cafes, it offers a unique atmosphere. Stroll through the streets, visit the Grossmünster church, and enjoy the breathtaking views from Lindenhof Park. Don't forget to explore the numerous boutique shops and indulge in delicious Swiss chocolate from Sprüngli.

Zürich is renowned for its Churches, museums and parks.
But with so many different monuments, historical sights, restaurants, shops bars and nightlife to see, how can you make sure that you experience the best of everything Zürich has to offer?
The 'My Top Five' series gives you the background and history on a city’s ‘must-see’ attractions, so that you can make the most of your trip. It also includes essential information, such as opening times and location.
However, each chapter gives you more than just the basics of the city's attractions, diving below the surface to lift the lid on some of the less well-known attractions, and helping you to discover the hidden Zürich.
And of course, we don’t fill endless pages with hard-to-read maps and difficult-to-download photos; there are five chapters of text, one on each attraction, all written by our team of experienced travel writers.
