The draw was the International Festival of the Sea, the world’s largest maritime event, held every four years at the Portsmouth Royal Naval Yard in Portsmouth, England. But there was so much more to see in Jolly Old England: Stonehenge, Lands End, King Arthur’s castle at Tintagel, the complementary castles at Pendennis and St. Mawes, the residence castle in Arundel. If you buy this book for no other reason, buy it to read about Gerald, his “standing” for a seat in the British Parliament, and his “Porkies.”
