That all changes when one child, Ade, reaches them through pure desperation while being attacked by a Creature in the spiritual realm that exist between sleeping and being awake. That desperate cry reaches some of the Ascended that have been dormant for years. The attack Ade experienced was only a part of the Creatures blatant new thirst for power, they have grown tired of living in the background, sick of being in the shadows. No longer content to be hidden hands that shaped Empires and Nations, they capture America in the most savage and dominating way possible. Establishing and showing that they will no longer be Creatures of Subterfuge.

This is the story of accidental re-discovery of an enemy long forgotten, but one that has not forgotten or forgiven their own defeat by African People thousands of years ago. A people that drove them from their underground homes on their home continent and out into another land. Europe, where the Creatures first settled. But the Northern European people there fought them off sending them deep underground until the rise of the Greeks and Romans. This is the second book of many in the Books of Ascension Series.
