The youngest billy goat Gruff, being the boldest and most agile of the three, decided to cross the bridge first. As he made his way across, the troll emerged from under the bridge and blocked his path.

With a mischievous grin, the troll demanded, "Who dares cross my bridge? I will gobble you up!"

The youngest billy goat Gruff, standing tall on his hind legs, replied confidently, "I am the youngest billy goat Gruff, and I'm on my way to the lush green pasture on the other side of the bridge. You shall not stop me!"

The troll, with a furious look in his eyes, tried to snatch the billy goat, but the agile and determined middle billy goat Gruff managed to slip away just in time. He joined his younger brother on the other side of the bridge, leaving the frustrated troll behind.

Now it was time for the eldest and largest billy goat Gruff to cross the bridge. The troll, knowing that he had failed twice before, was determined to catch this one. He growled with all his might, "Who dares cross my bridge? I will gobble you up!"

The eldest billy goat Gruff, towering over the troll, replied calmly, "I am the eldest billy goat Gruff, and I'm on my way to the lush green pasture on the other side of the bridge. You cannot stop me!"

The troll, driven by his insatiable hunger, lunged with all his might, trying to capture the billy goat. But the eldest billy goat Gruff, with his impressive strength, managed to break free from the troll's grasp and headbutt him with his powerful horns. The troll fell into the river below, defeated and never to trouble the goats again.

With the troll vanquished, the three billy goats Gruff rejoiced and continued their journey to the lush green pasture, where they would graze happily for the rest of their days.
