Raymond Carroll is the author of 'Only Raising Dust On The Road' – a serialized novel set in Thailand. A Scotsman, born in East Kilbride, Glasgow in 1970, he is married to Sunan – a Thai national, and has two Thai/Scottish children: a girl (16), and a boy (12). He currently resides in Scotland but previously lived and worked in Thailand for two years between 2002 and 2004.

I was unsure whether or not to publish my novel and used certain paragraphs from it in some of these short stories compiled from my Thailand Travel blog. I was then encouraged to publish my novel and done so without changing either the novel or the short stories because I think the paragraphs I am referring to fit both pieces of writing and I didn't want to lose anything in either the novel or the short stories; I then published the short stories in this book as a collection of short stories and the stories remain unchanged.
