1948 Passenger Schedules for Intercity and Suburban Passenger Trains. Full name of the Company was Delaware Lackawanna & Western Railroad.

Most of the routes shown have been abandoned.

The Boonton Line was abandoned between Little Falls and Paterson and is not part of Route 80.
Service on the Sussex Branch and west of Netcong was cutback in 1966. All intercity passenger service ended in 1970.

The DL&W Right of way between Binghamton and Elmira was abandoned in 1959. The route between Binghamton and Buffalo was abandoned by the Erie Lackawanna in phases.

Service between New York and Scranton will probably be restored. Depending on the success of that project it is possible that service to Binghamton might be restored as well. Prospects for service further west are murky. The area south of a line Between Buffalo and Albany is known as the Southern Tier of New York State. The Southern Tier has been in steady economic decline since the end of World War II. Unless new policies are enacted by New York State to encourage economic development this situation is unlikely to reverse.
